Our Wedding

Talk about decisions!  Planning a wedding is insane - it seems as though there are an infinite number of choices out there from dresses to reception halls, flowers to photographers, how does one ever choose??

Tim and I got married July 28th, 2010 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico at the Dreams Resort.  It was the best day/week ever, and we got to share it with the people that are closest to us.  We had a total of 26 guests and it was amazing - I wouldn't change a thing about it.

However, there was definitely some stress involved, even though it was a destination wedding.  Why you ask? - because what isn't stressful in my life?!  As Tim would tell you, I make everything stressful and this was no exception!

There were a couple of things that I/we knew we wanted for sure when it came to our wedding:
- On a beach somewhere with our families there
- Christine Kufske from Click Photography (http://www.clickphotography.ca/) as our photographer

The hardest decision to make (for me) was which resort to go to. Initially, the decision was what destination do we even go to.  We chose Cabo because we'd been once before and loved it and knew whatever resort we picked would be perfect.  We went back and forth between Dreams Los Cabos and the Riu Palace in Cabo.  Ultimately we chose Dreams, even though it was the pricier resort.  They really cater to brides and had far less rules when it comes to weddings, in comparison to the Riu.

After making that major decision, there was still all the other ones to consider; invitations, my dress, bridesmaid dresses, guys' attire, minister, hair, makeup, flowers, cake, at home reception plans.  Then there was all the other make work for myself  "extra" projects I decided to do; homemade programs, gift bags for all the guests, DIY menus, etc.  I thought a destination wedding was supposed to be easy?!

Anyway, I loved every second of it and I could go on and on about how magical it was, but let's be honest - it'd probably be a boring read.  Pictures are far more interesting!!  While I can't upload the thousands that I do have, here is a taste.  Enjoy!
